WIZA COMPARED

Wiza Finds The Contact. Datamagnet Reads The Profile.

Wiza is a sales tool that turns a Sales Navigator search into verified emails and mobile numbers, sold per seat. Datamagnet is an API that turns a LinkedIn URL into structured JSON — profile, company, posts, engagement and signals — sold in credits. They overlap less than the category suggests.

Datamagnet vs Wiza: the short answer

Wiza and Datamagnet sell different data. Wiza is a LinkedIn contact tool: its Chrome extension exports Sales Navigator searches and returns verified work emails and mobile numbers, priced per user from $49 to $199 a month. Datamagnet is a professional-profile data API: you POST a profile, company or post URL and get structured JSON fetched live at request time, including post content, commenters and reactors, priced in credits with no seat licences. Pick Wiza if you need contact details to run outreach. Pick Datamagnet if you need profile and engagement data inside code.

Our verdict

Wiza is a good product and it beats us outright on the thing most buyers arrive looking for. If the job is "get me a verified email and a mobile number for this person", Wiza does it, charges only when it succeeds, and puts the result in a CRM without anyone opening a terminal. Datamagnet does none of that — no emails, no phones, no verification, no extension. Where we win is the layer underneath: the live profile, the company, the posts and who engaged with them, and signals that fire when something changes. Plenty of teams end up running both.

Which one should you pick?

Straight guidance, including the cases where we're the wrong answer.

Choose Datamagnet if

  • The consumer of the data is your product, a pipeline or an agent, not a salesperson in a browser tab
  • You need post content and the people who commented, reacted or reposted — Wiza returns none of it
  • You want per-request credit pricing with no per-user licence attached to it
  • You need engagement-based signals, not just job and company changes
  • You want to enrich a profile without paying for an email or phone lookup you are not going to use

Choose Wiza if

  • You need verified work or personal email addresses — Datamagnet does not find or verify email at all
  • You need mobile numbers and direct dials for a calling motion, which Datamagnet does not provide
  • Your users are reps working inside Sales Navigator who need one-click export from a Chrome extension
  • You need enriched contacts written straight into Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach or Attio with no engineering
  • You want job-change alerts that update the CRM record and ping the owner in Slack, rather than a webhook you build against
  • Nobody on the team writes code, and the tool has to be usable by the sales org on day one

Wiza answers how to reach them. Datamagnet answers what they are doing.

Wiza's data dictionary is a good map of the difference. It returns name, headline, work history, skills, education, company headcount, revenue and last funding round — a solid profile snapshot attached to an email and a phone number. It does not return a single post, comment, reaction or repost. That is the entire surface Datamagnet is built on, because engagement is where timing lives: who commented on a competitor's launch, who reacted to a hiring post, who started publishing about the problem you solve.

  • Find — ICP search, live people search, or a Sales Navigator search URL returns matching people as JSON
  • Read — the profile, the company, recent activity, and the commenters and reactors on any given post
  • Watch — six signal types fire on job changes and engagement, delivered by HMAC-signed webhook

A fully enriched Wiza contact costs more than a profile lookup, because email and phone are charged on top of the profile credit. Wiza Monitor is billed separately from $99/mo per 1,000 contacts tracked. Where each tool genuinely wins

No tool wins everywhere. Here's the honest split.

Where Wiza wins

  • The Chrome extension is the product, and it is very good — one-click export of a Sales Navigator search to CSV or CRM, with no code and no CSV round-trip. Datamagnet has no extension at all.
  • Verified work and personal emails plus mobile numbers, charged only when a verified result comes back. Datamagnet does not find or verify email or phone, full stop.
  • Job-change monitoring that writes the update back into HubSpot or Salesforce and alerts the record owner by email or Slack — our signals stop at the webhook.
  • Native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Attio and Zoho, so enriched contacts land in the system of record without an engineer in the loop.
  • An 850M+ contact prospect database with 20+ filters for search at scale, per Wiza.
  • A no-code product a whole sales team can adopt in an afternoon, where Datamagnet requires someone who can make an HTTP request.

Where Datamagnet wins

  • Post content, commenters, reactors and reposters as structured data — Wiza returns no engagement data of any kind
  • Profile activity feeds and company post feeds, for timing rather than contactability
  • Six signal types covering job changes plus post, keyword, industry, company and person engagement
  • Every profile fetched live at request time, not matched against a stored record
  • Credits only — no per-user licence, so an unattended pipeline does not need a seat
  • Full Crunchbase-sourced funding round history from a domain, not just the last round
  • Charged only on successful requests, with 10 free credits and a $10 entry point rather than a $50 credit minimum
  • Per-endpoint credit costs published up front, from 1 credit for a profile to 10 for a search page

Datamagnet vs Wiza: FAQ

Yes. Wiza finds and verifies work and personal email addresses and mobile phone numbers, and only charges credits when a verified result is returned. Datamagnet does no email finding, no email verification and no phone lookup at all — it returns profile, company, post and engagement data as JSON. If your workflow ends in an email send or a dial, Wiza is the right tool and Datamagnet is not a substitute for it.

No. Datamagnet is an API only — there is no browser extension, so nothing runs inside LinkedIn or Sales Navigator for a salesperson to click. Wiza's extension is its core product and exports a Sales Navigator search to CSV or a CRM in one action. Datamagnet's equivalent is programmatic: post a Sales Navigator search URL to the API and receive the results as JSON, which suits pipelines rather than reps.

Wiza prices per user. As of July 2026 the plans are Free, Starter at $49 per user per month with 100 emails and 100 phone numbers, Email at $99, and Email + Phone at $199, with annual billing lowering the effective rate and a custom Team plan for three or more users. API credits are sold separately at $0.025 each with a 2,000-credit minimum, and Wiza Monitor starts at $99 a month per 1,000 contacts tracked.

No. Wiza's data dictionary covers profile attributes and company firmographics — name, headline, work history, skills, education, headcount, revenue and last funding round — but not posts, comments, reactions or reposts. Datamagnet has dedicated endpoints for post content, company posts, profile activity, and the people who commented on, reacted to or reposted a given post, which is what makes engagement-based prospecting possible.

Wiza Monitor tracks a CSV of contacts for job and company changes, then updates the matching record in HubSpot or Salesforce and alerts the owner by email or Slack; it is billed from $99 a month per 1,000 contacts. Datamagnet's Signal API covers six types — job changes plus new posts and keyword, industry, company and person engagement — delivered by HMAC-signed webhook or email digest, with no native CRM write-back.

Yes, and for many teams that is the sensible answer. Datamagnet handles discovery and context: ICP or Sales Navigator search to find accounts and people, live profile and company enrichment, post and engagement data, and signals that tell you when to act. Wiza handles the contact layer: a verified work email or mobile number for the person you decided to reach. Neither product replaces the other's data.
